Course content

This qualification is suitable for anyone with an interest in accounting or already working as a bookkeeper or cost clerk in an SME or an accounting administration role within an accounting department.

The qualification is achieved by completing the following three components:

  • Maintaining Financial Records (FA2) – principles and process of basic bookkeeping, preparing journals and ledger accounts, recording transactions and events*
  •  Managing Costs and Finances (MA2) – cost techniques, decision making, cash management*

Entry criteria

Minimum Level 2 in English and Maths, Level 2 Diploma in Financial and Management Accounting or prior work experience in accounting.

You will complete an initial assessment as part of the enrolment and registration process to assess your suitability for the programme
