  • Working Safely in the Track Side Environment – Fire Safety in the Workplace
  • Understand the Track Renewal Process
  • Understand Track Renewal Activities
  • Fire Safety principles, Manual handling, Alcohol Awareness

Entry criteria

  • Level 1 in Track Renewals or relevant industry experience
  • Level 1 in Track Renewals or relevant industry experience
  • Level 1 in English and maths (good level of English and maths)
  • Demonstrate an interest in engineering/railway industryYou will complete an initial assessment as part of the enrolment and registration process to assess your suitability for the programme.

Portfolio of Evidence and online learning
Practical assessment in a railway environment

Resources or equipment required for your course

Notebook, ruler, pen, pencil and access to a PC for home study or online learning*.
Please Note: PPE will be required for offsite training: Orange Hi-vis Vest, Trousers, Helmet, and Steel Toe Cap Boots.

*If you do not have access to a PC or laptop, access to PC or laptop is available at the centre.

  • Level 3 Diploma in Railway Engineering.
